What the condition grades mean
Every item on FindA.Sale gets a condition grade — S, A, B, C, or D — assigned by the organizer before the sale goes live. A person looked at the item and made a call. It was not assigned by an automated system.
The grade tells you what to expect when you arrive. An A-grade lamp should look close to new. A C-grade dresser will have visible wear you can live with. A D-grade item is sold as-is, no surprises.
Grades get assigned when the organizer photographs and lists each item — usually one or two days before a sale opens. You can filter search results by condition if you're only looking for certain quality levels.

If the grade looks wrong
Message the organizer through the item page before you drive out. Ask for an extra photo or clarification. Organizers are usually happy to send one — it saves both of you a trip.
Don't assume the grade was set maliciously. Condition is subjective. A quick message resolves most disagreements.

Common questions
**Who assigns the grade?** The organizer — the person running the estate sale, yard sale, flea market booth, or consignment shop. They grade based on what they see at the item.
**Can I search by condition grade?** Yes. Use the Condition filter on any search results page or sale browse page.
**What if I receive an item that doesn't match its grade?** Contact the organizer first. If you can't reach them, use the Report button on the item page.
