Connect Stripe and Receive Your First Payout
Connect your bank account to receive payouts when you mark items sold. Setup takes about three minutes.
How it works
- Go to Settings → Payouts.
- Click "Connect to Stripe" (or "Change account" if you've already connected one).
- You'll be taken to Stripe's site. Log in or create a Stripe account.
- Enter your business info and banking details on Stripe's forms.
- Stripe verifies your information — this usually takes 1–2 business days.
- Once verified, your payouts are live. You'll receive money 2–3 business days after you mark an item sold.
Connection details
What you'll need:
- Your legal name or business name (matching your bank account)
- Your bank's routing number and account number
- A valid photo ID (Stripe may ask to verify your identity)
- Your email address (Stripe will confirm this with you)
Verification timeline:
- Instant: Your account is created on Stripe
- 1–2 business days: Stripe verifies your bank account (they do a micro-deposit to your account; you confirm the amounts in Stripe)
- Once verified: Payouts start rolling in
First payout timing: Your first payout hits your bank account 2–3 business days after you mark an item sold, assuming Stripe has verified you by then. (If they haven't verified yet, payouts wait until they do.)
Common questions
Is it safe to give FindA.Sale my bank info?
You don't give FindA.Sale your bank info. You give it directly to Stripe, which is the payment company handling transfers. FindA.Sale only sees that you're verified; we never touch your account number.
Can I use a business account or a personal account?
Either one works. Personal accounts work fine for small operations; business accounts are required if you're running a registered business.
What if Stripe denies me?
Stripe may ask for extra docs or identity verification. Check your Stripe dashboard or the email they send — they'll tell you exactly what's needed. You can resubmit from your Stripe account. If you hit a wall, contact Stripe support directly.
When do I actually get the money?
2–3 business days after you mark an item sold. So if you mark something sold on Monday, it usually hits your bank on Wednesday or Thursday.
Can I disconnect and reconnect to a different account?
Yes. Go to Settings → Payouts and click "Change account." You can switch banks anytime. Existing payouts go to the old account; future payouts go to the new one.
What happens to my payouts if I upgrade my plan?
Nothing changes. Payouts work the same on all plans (Simple, Pro, Teams). Pricing details are in [Choosing a Plan](/guides/choosing-a-plan-simple-pro-or-teams).
