Create or join a Crew
A Crew is a public group of up to 50 shoppers. Every Crew has its own leaderboard, a feed of its members' photos, and a crew bonus on sale check-ins. Joining is free and instant, and you can be in up to three Crews at once. If you shop with the same people regularly, or you just want to see what other collectors in your area are finding, a Crew gives you a home for that.

What a Crew is
- Public. Any signed-in shopper can find a Crew and join it. There are no invite-only Crews, invite codes or approval requests.
- Up to 50 members. When a Crew is full, the Join button says so until someone leaves.
- Free to join. Only creating a Crew costs XP.
- Up to three Crews per person. Crews you create count toward the limit, the same as Crews you join.

What you get from a Crew
A leaderboard. Each Crew page ranks its members by guild XP, with their rank and role. It is a friendly scoreboard for the group. Crews are not ranked against each other.
A photo feed. The Crew page shows recent photos and hauls posted by members. Only photos that have been approved appear, and only photos, so it is not a feed of saves, holds or messages. Whatever a member posts publicly is what shows up there.
A check-in bonus. When you check in to a sale, your visit XP is multiplied by 1.25 if your Crew has at least three members and at least two other Crew members have already checked in to the same sale that day. To keep the bonus fair, it only counts accounts that are at least 7 days old and have already made a purchase or checked in at a different sale, and that includes you. Brand new accounts do not earn it and do not count toward it. See [/shopper/guild-primer](/shopper/guild-primer) for the base check-in XP.
Crew Invasion. Organizers can switch on Crew Invasion for a sale. When four or more members of the same Crew are holding items at that sale at the same time, the Crew earns a group discount. It happens once per Crew per sale. To count toward the four, a member's account must be at least 7 days old and must have a purchase or a check-in at a different sale.
- The discount. Every member of that Crew gets 10% off their own held items at that sale for 45 minutes after it starts. You do not type a code. It is applied automatically when the organizer sends you your payment request for those items, and it comes off before fees are added. Each member can use it once per sale, and your total never drops below $1.00. If the register already took a discount off the same items, you get whichever is bigger, not both. A payment link that covers several shoppers at once does not include the Crew discount, so ask the organizer to send you your own payment request.
- If a request does not go through. If a payment request with your discount is cancelled or expires unpaid, your discount comes back, and you can use it on the next request while the 45 minutes last. Once a request is paid, the discount is used.
- The XP. Members who count toward the four also earn 75 XP, once per sale and at most one Crew Invasion payout per day. That XP is held for 72 hours before you can spend it, like purchase XP.
Everyone in the Crew who is holding at that sale gets a notification when it starts.

How to create a Crew
- Go to [/shopper/crews](/shopper/crews) and open the Create tab.
- Enter a name. It must be 3 to 30 characters, using letters, numbers, spaces and these characters: - ' & . Each name is unique, so a name that matches an existing Crew, or is very close to one, is not allowed. Names that impersonate FindA.Sale staff or use offensive words are rejected.
- Add an optional description of up to 500 characters.
- Check the cost. Creating a Crew costs 500 XP, and the form shows how much spendable XP you have. Newly earned XP is held for 72 hours before you can spend it. If you are short, the button stays disabled and tells you how much more you need.
- Tap Create crew and confirm.
The spend is one-time and is not refunded if you later disband the Crew. If anything goes wrong while the Crew is being created, for example someone takes the same name a moment before you, nothing is charged.
You become the Crew's founder.

How to join a Crew
- Go to [/shopper/crews](/shopper/crews) and open Browse Crews.
- Search by name if you know what you want, or scroll the list. Crews with the most members show first.
- Tap Join. You are in right away.
You can also open a Crew directly from a link a friend sends you and tap Join crew there. If you are already in three Crews, leave one first.

Share your Crew
On any Crew page, tap Share crew link. It shares or copies the link to that Crew page. Anyone who opens it can see the Crew, and if they are signed in they can join. There is no built-in chat, so send the link through a message app or group text you already use.

Founder tools
If you founded the Crew, its page also lets you:
- Remove a member. They can join again later if there is room, because Crews are public.
- Make another member the founder. You become a regular member.
- Disband the Crew. You type the Crew name to confirm. Everyone is removed and the Crew is deleted. It cannot be undone.
A founder cannot simply leave. To step away, make another member the founder or disband the Crew.

How to leave a Crew
- Open the Crew from [/shopper/crews](/shopper/crews).
- Tap Leave crew and confirm.
You leave immediately, your photos stop appearing in that Crew's feed, and it frees up one of your three Crew spots.

Common questions
Are Crews private? No. Crews are public. Anyone signed in can view a Crew's members, leaderboard and photo feed and can join. Only post to FindA.Sale what you are comfortable sharing publicly.
Can I have more than one Crew? Yes, up to three at the same time, whether you created them or joined them.
How many people can be in a Crew? Up to 50.
Is there a Crew chat, invite link or request-to-join step? Not at this time. Joining is instant, and the share link is a plain link to the Crew page.
Do Crews earn extra XP when members refer each other, or have group bounties? No. The Crew bonuses are the 1.25x check-in bonus and Crew Invasion, both described above.
Do organizers know I'm in a Crew? Crew membership is visible on the public Crew page. Organizers only interact with Crews if they turn on Crew Invasion for a sale.
I created a Crew and the name was taken. Did I lose XP? No. XP is only spent when the Crew is actually created.
What if someone in a Crew is posting something they should not? The founder can remove any member. You can also flag a photo or haul post the same way you would anywhere else on FindA.Sale.
