The leaderboard and monthly league
The leaderboard shows the top XP earners in the community. The monthly league is a fresh competition that resets every calendar month. Your permanent rank and your monthly leaderboard position are two different things — understanding both helps you know what you're actually climbing toward.
---
What the leaderboard is
Go to [/shopper/leaderboard](/shopper/leaderboard) and you'll see three tabs:
**Monthly** — the top earners in the current calendar month, ranked by XP earned since the 1st. This resets to zero for everyone on the first of each month.
**Local** — the top earners in your city, based on your registered location. Same monthly reset logic.
**All-Time** — the top earners since they joined FindA.Sale, no reset. This list moves slowly.
Tap any username on any leaderboard to open their public shopper profile. You can see their haul posts, what sales they've attended, and their badge history.
---
What the monthly league is
The monthly league runs on the same calendar as the Monthly leaderboard tab. Every shopper starts the month at 0 league XP. At the end of the month, the top finishers earn:
- **A monthly badge** — displayed on your profile for that month, permanently. It shows which month you placed and roughly where (top tier, mid tier, etc. — exact tiers are listed at [/shopper/league](/shopper/league)).
- **A bonus XP credit** — deposited into your all-time total the first week of the following month.
The bonus XP from a league finish does count toward your permanent rank. It does not appear in the monthly totals for the month it was earned — it posts the following month.
There's no entry fee and no signup. If you're a shopper on FindA.Sale, you're in the league.

How to climb the leaderboard
Most XP-earning actions are things you'd do anyway:
- **Purchases** — the most consistent source of XP per session.
- **Haul posts** — one per sale, quick to do, earns a flat amount each time.
- **Reviews** — written reviews of organizers earn more than a star-only rating.
- **Referrals** — when a Crew member follows your shared sale link and makes a purchase.
- **Daily streaks** — opening the app on consecutive days builds a streak multiplier.
- **Trail completions** — finishing all stops on a Treasure Trail.
The exact XP value for each action is at [/shopper/guild-primer](/shopper/guild-primer). The amounts update occasionally, so the Primer is the correct source — not this guide.
In practice, the shoppers near the top of the monthly leaderboard are doing two or three things well, not all of them. Consistent haul posts plus regular purchases is a more reliable path than trying to optimize every mechanic at once.

Rank vs. leaderboard position
These are not the same thing, and confusing them leads to frustration.
**Your rank** (Newcomer, Scout, Regular, Veteran, Grandmaster, etc.) is based on your all-time XP total. It doesn't change when the month resets. Once you reach a rank tier, you stay there. Your rank badge appears on your profile and in the dashboard rank widget.
**Your leaderboard position** is where you sit in the current month's XP totals relative to other shoppers. It resets to zero on the first of every month. A Grandmaster-ranked shopper who doesn't go to a single sale in a given month will finish at the bottom of that month's leaderboard. A newer shopper who hits a busy sale weekend and posts a dozen haul posts might finish in the top 20.
The rank is cumulative. The leaderboard is competitive and periodic.
Both are visible on your profile. The rank widget on the dashboard shows your permanent rank tier and your position on the current monthly leaderboard side by side.

What winning the monthly league gets you
Finishing in the top tier of the monthly league earns a badge and an XP bonus. The badge stays on your profile permanently — it marks the months you competed well, not just your current standing.
The XP bonus posts to your all-time total in the first week of the following month. It can push you into a new rank tier if you're close to a threshold.
Exact bonus amounts and tier cutoffs are listed at [/shopper/league](/shopper/league) and [/shopper/guild-primer](/shopper/guild-primer). The platform adjusts these based on community size, so check the live pages rather than relying on a fixed number.

Common questions
**Does my monthly XP reset affect my permanent rank?** No. Monthly XP reset only affects your standing on the Monthly leaderboard tab and in the monthly league. Your all-time XP total — which determines your rank — never decreases. You can only go up in rank, never down.
**Can I see my own all-time leaderboard position?** Yes. Open the All-Time tab and scroll, or tap your avatar in the top right of the leaderboard page to jump to your position on any tab.
**What if two shoppers have the same XP at the end of the month?** Ties are broken by who reached that XP total first. Earlier timestamps win in a tie.
**Do haul posts I delete still count toward my XP?** No. Deleting a haul post removes the XP it earned. If the XP has already been counted and you delete the post, the amount is deducted from your current monthly and all-time totals.
**Is the Local leaderboard based on where I am now or where I'm registered?** Your registered location, set during onboarding or in your profile settings. If you've moved or regularly shop in a different city, update your location at [/shopper/settings](/shopper/settings).
**Can I opt out of the leaderboard?** You can set your profile to private, which removes your username from public leaderboard displays. Your XP still counts toward your rank and toward the monthly league results — you just won't appear by name in the public lists.
