The Leaderboard and Monthly League

For ShoppersUpdated May 10, 2026
All guides

The leaderboard ranks the most active shoppers in FindA.Sale every month. Make the top 100 and you get recognition, bonus XP, and bragging rights. The monthly league tracks crew performance.

What is the leaderboard?

The leaderboard is a ranked list of the top 100 shoppers, updated monthly. You're ranked by XP earned that month.

Top spots:

  • #1–10: Elite hunters. These are the most active shoppers that month.
  • #11–50: Serious hunters. Consistent activity and engagement.
  • #51–100: Active hunters. You're in the top 100 — that's recognition.

If you earn enough XP to place in the top 100, your name, rank badge, and profile appear on the leaderboard page. Other shoppers can click through to see your hauls, crew, and achievements.

How the leaderboard works

Monthly reset: The leaderboard resets at the beginning of each month (usually the 1st). Everyone starts at zero XP.

XP sources for ranking:

  • Check-ins (5 XP each, but only 1 per sale per day counts)
  • Haul posts (50 XP each)
  • Wishlist saves (10 XP each)
  • Treasure trail completions (30 XP each)
  • Referral signups (100 XP per friend)
  • Bounty completions (50 XP each)
  • Achievements unlocked (varies)
  • Daily login streaks (milestone bonuses)

Ties: If two shoppers have the same XP, the one who reached that XP first ranks higher.

Viewing the leaderboard

**Go to Leaderboard in the main nav.** You'll see:

  • Your rank and XP (if you're in top 100)
  • The top 10 with their profiles and stats
  • A search bar (find your friends' ranks)
  • Filters: region, crew, sale type

You can also view the leaderboard from your profile to see your historical placements (best ranking, average placement, number of months top 100).

Monthly rewards

Top 10: 500 XP bonus + $20 coupon + "Elite" badge for that month

Top 11–25: 250 XP bonus + $10 coupon

Top 26–50: 150 XP bonus + $5 coupon

Top 51–100: 100 XP bonus + $2 coupon

Rewards are paid out automatically on the first day of the following month.

The monthly league (crews)

Crews also compete on a monthly leaderboard. The league ranks crews by total XP earned by all active members that month.

Crew scoring: Only members who earned XP that month count toward the crew's total. If you're in a crew but didn't hunt, you don't affect their score.

Crew top placements:

  • **Top 3:** 200 XP bonus per member + "Top Crew" badge
  • **Top 4–10:** 100 XP bonus per member
  • **Top 11–25:** 50 XP bonus per member
  • **Top 26–100:** 25 XP bonus per member

Members get the bonus even if they didn't personally rank on the individual leaderboard.

Why the leaderboard matters

Recognition: Your name is visible to thousands of shoppers. You're a known hunter.

Motivation: Competing for top 100 is fun. Some shoppers target the leaderboard every month.

Social proof: High leaderboard placement builds credibility. Organizers notice top hunters and offer them exclusive sales or perks.

Crew bonding: Crew leagues create team competition. You're working together toward a shared goal.

Bragging rights: Making top 100 even once is an achievement worth celebrating.

Leaderboard strategy

Go hard the first week: Early momentum matters. Hit streaks early, post multiple hauls, complete bounties. The first week often determines the final ranking.

Consistency over sprints: Hunting 3 sales a week for 4 weeks beats hunting 12 in one week. Consistency keeps you steady.

Crew advantage: Crew members push each other. If your crew is competing, you all perform better.

Mix your XP sources: Don't just check in. Post hauls, complete treasure trails, refer friends. Diverse activity builds rank faster.

Hunt smart: 10 sales with haul posts = 600 XP. 10 sales with no posts = 100 XP. Posts are the multiplier.

Leaderboard achievements

Monthly Top 100: Made the leaderboard at least once

Consistent Presence: Made top 100 five months in a row

Elite Hunter: Placed top 10 once

Hall of Fame Hunter: Placed top 10 three times

Regional leaderboards

Some regions (California, Texas, New York, etc.) have their own regional leaderboards. You appear on both the national leaderboard and your region's leaderboard.

Regional competition can be fiercer because you're competing against people in your area — people you might actually meet up with or see at sales.

What the leaderboard doesn't include

  • Hunt purchases (you don't earn points just for buying)
  • Haul quality (more likes doesn't mean more XP)
  • Review helpfulness (reviews earn XP but don't count toward ranking)

Leaderboard transparency

FindA.Sale publishes the leaderboard publicly. Your placement, rank badge, and total XP are visible. Your spending, bounty history, and sale visit count are private.
