# Browse by City: Weekend Sale Pages

City pages show you every active and upcoming sale in a specific metro area — all on one page, no filtering required. Good for road trips, visiting family, or just seeing what's outside your usual 25-mile radius.

---

What a city page is

Each major metro area has its own page. For example, the Grand Rapids page lives at /sales/grand-rapids-mi. It lists every sale posted in that area, sorted by distance from the city center.

The page updates automatically. When an organizer in that city posts a new sale — yard sale, auction, flea market, estate sale, consignment event, anything — it shows up on the city page within minutes.

You can share a city page link with anyone. They don't need an account to view it.

---

How to get to a city page

**Option 1 — Search your city:** Type the city name in the main search bar. At the top of the results, before individual sales appear, you'll see a city result with a map icon. Tap it.

**Option 2 — Follow a shared link:** If someone texts you a city page link, tap it and it opens directly. Works in any browser, no app required.

**Option 3 — City directory:** From the home menu, tap Browse by City. Scroll or search to find your metro area.

What's on a city page

  • **Map** — All active sales plotted as pins. Tap any pin to preview the sale.
  • **Sale list** — Scrollable list below the map, sorted by distance from city center. Each entry shows the sale name, type, distance, hours, and a sample photo.
  • **Trending items** — A row of items with recent saves and views across all the city's active sales.
  • **Sale type counts** — How many yard sales, estate sales, auctions, flea markets, and consignment events are active this weekend.

How to share a city page

Tap the share icon (or copy the URL) and send it wherever. The link opens a live view — your recipient sees the same list you do, updated in real time.

Useful for coordinating with friends: "Here's everything happening in Kalamazoo this Saturday. You pick two, I'll pick two."

Common questions

**Q: How do I find the page for my city?** Search your city name in the app or type /sales/[city-state] in your browser — for example, /sales/detroit-mi or /sales/chicago-il. If we don't have a page for your city yet, the general map will still show sales there.

**Q: How far from the city center does the page show?** Roughly 50 miles. Tap any sale to see its exact distance from the city center.

**Q: Are sales sorted by anything other than distance?** Within each distance band, sales are sorted by how recently the organizer posted. Newest posts first, within the same distance range.

**Q: Can I filter a city page by sale type?** Not with a dropdown filter, but the sale type label is on every listing. Scroll until you see the type you want, or use the type counts at the top to know if it's worth looking.

**Q: Can I get notified when a new sale posts in a specific city?** Follow organizers in that city and you'll be notified when they post. For general city-level alerts, save a search for that city in the main search bar and tap the bell.

**Q: Does the page change during the week?** Yes. Sales are added, updated, and removed as organizers manage their listings. Check back any time — the list is always current.
