# How ranks work (Initiate to Grandmaster)
There are six shopper ranks on FindA.Sale, from Initiate to Grandmaster. Your rank reflects your activity history on the platform — how much you've hunted, posted, and engaged. It appears on your profile and affects a few things that matter.

What rank affects
- **Hold duration.** Higher ranks get longer hold windows on reserved items.
- **Early Access window.** At certain ranks, your Early Access window extends beyond the base Hunt Pass window.
- **Bonus XP multiplier.** Higher ranks earn a slightly larger XP bonus on actions.
- **Leaderboard standing.** Your rank factors into monthly leaderboard placement.

One important rule
Your rank never goes down. Once you reach Scout, you stay Scout or higher. There is no decay, no reset, no way to lose a rank you've earned.

How to check your rank
Open your profile. Your rank badge appears next to your name. Tap it to see your current XP, your progress to the next rank, and your full rank history.

Common questions
**Do ranks reset at the start of a new month?** No. Ranks are lifetime. Monthly leaderboard standings reset, but your rank stays where it is.
**Can I see other shoppers' ranks?** Yes. Rank badges are visible on public profiles, haul posts, and in crew rosters.
**Does Hunt Pass affect how fast I rank up?** Yes. Hunt Pass members earn bonus XP on their actions, which means faster rank progression. See the [Guild Primer](/shopper/guild-primer) for current multipliers.
