Save items to your wishlist and get notified
# Save Items to Your Wishlist and Get Notified
Stop checking the same listing every morning hoping that dresser is still there. Save it to your wishlist and we'll notify you the moment anything changes — price drop, sale going live, item sold.
---
How to save an item
Open any sale and browse its items. Tap the heart icon on any item card. It turns red. The item is now on your wishlist.
That's the whole thing. No form to fill out, no account info to enter mid-browse.
---
Where to find your wishlist
Tap the heart icon in the bottom navigation bar. You'll see every item you've saved, sorted by sale date by default.
You can also get there from your profile: tap your avatar in the top right, then tap Wishlist.
---
What notifications you get
When something changes on an item you've saved, you'll get a notification:
- **Price drop** — The organizer lowered the price.
- **Sale going live** — The sale that item belongs to just opened.
- **Sale ending soon** — The sale closes within 24 hours and this item is still available.
- **Item sold** — Someone bought it or the organizer marked it sold.
Not every organizer enables all of these. If an organizer doesn't update their inventory in real time, some alerts won't fire. You'll see what's available for each item in the notification settings.

Wishlist vs. a hold
These are two different things and it's worth knowing the difference.
A **wishlist save** is passive. You're bookmarking the item so you can find it again and get alerts. The organizer doesn't see it. No commitment.
A **hold** is active. You're asking the organizer to reserve the item for you for a set period — usually 24 to 48 hours. Holds are visible to the organizer and may require a response. Some organizers charge a small hold deposit.
If you just want to track something, save it. If you're serious and don't want it to disappear, request a hold.
---
How to remove an item
Tap the red heart on an item in your wishlist (or on the item card anywhere in the app). It turns gray and the item is removed. You stop getting notifications for it.
You can also swipe left on an item in the wishlist view to remove it.

Common questions
**Q: Will the organizer know I saved their item?** No. Your wishlist is private. The organizer can only see holds and messages — not saves.
**Q: I'm not getting notifications. What's wrong?** Check two things: your phone's notification settings for FindA.Sale (Settings > Notifications on iOS or Android), and your in-app preferences (Profile > Settings > Notifications). Both have to allow them.
**Q: Can I sort or organize my wishlist?** Sort by: sale date, price low to high, price high to low, or date saved. Tap the sort icon in the top right of your wishlist.
**Q: What happens to a saved item after the sale ends?** It stays in your wishlist marked Ended or Sold. You can remove it manually or leave it as a reference. Useful if you want to remember what you were looking for.
**Q: Can I share my wishlist with someone?** Not the whole list. But you can open any item and share its link via text or social media. The other person can view that item and save it to their own wishlist.
**Q: Do I need an account?** Yes. Wishlists sync across your devices, so an account is required. Sign up with email or use a social login — takes about a minute.
